CELL PHONE POLICY
Personal cell phones are permitted at the Youth Center when used responsibly and appropriately. The goal is to allow communication while maintaining a safe, respectful, and distraction-free environment.
Appropriate Cell Phone Use
Cell phones may be used:

With staff permission, when needed

To contact a parent or legal guardian

During designated free times, as approved by staff

In a way that does not disrupt programs, activities, or other participants
Inappropriate Cell Phone Use
Cell phones may not be used for:

Viewing, sharing, or accessing inappropriate, explicit, or harmful content

Taking photos, videos, or audio recordings of others without permission

Cyberbullying, harassment, or inappropriate communication

Gaming, gambling, or excessive screen use that interferes with participation

Use during structured activities, meetings, or homework time unless approved by staff
Expectations & Enforcement

Cell phones must be silenced during activities and programs.

Staff may require phones to be put away at any time.

Cell phone use is a privilege, not a right.
Failure to follow this policy may result in:
- Temporary loss of cell phone privileges
- Confiscation of the device for the remainder of the day
- Suspension or removal from the youth center, depending on severity
